Highlights blemishes

This serum is lightweight, non greasy, and moisturizing. It does what it says and brightens the complexion... I do not know if it due to my skin tone (red head but tan easily and 'cool' undertone complexion), but my skin will look mostly clear and then I apply this and a bunch of red blemishes show up/are highlighted/brightened. It eventually evens out to where I don't see, but it is slightly frustrating when needing to go out and about right after applying. Note: It is NOT an allergic reaction of any sort for it doesn't show up all the time nor is it irritating/itchy, etc.
