Great Screen to keep out embers

Living in a high fire area, I worry about hot embers entering from the East side of the house. In the fall, strong Santa Anna winds can push into my attic dormer vents. Replacing these with Wildfire Defense mesh, should keep out that threat. Product arrived really well packaged.

PEACE of MIND

My home was built in 1954, in an era when rampant wild fires were not a concern. I am hopeful that I will never test the product during an emergency, but this is one step in a number of steps I am taking to hedge my homes ability to withstand the threat.

8" White Mesh fits my needs

Although without an actual fire, it's hard to evaluate this mesh for stopping embers (we were somewhat close to the Altadena fires last year) it should do the trick, though: heavy wire, coated, rated. I think it will also slow down dirt and debris coming into the basement via our previous 1/4" mesh vents at ground level.
