A beautiful product with a major failing

The curtain rod and end fittings are beautifully made, welded and polished. This should be an attractive and functional addition to any bathroom. Unfortunately the connector used to join two pieces of rod is totally inadequate to the task. I found it impossible to get the connector to stay in proper position long enough to assemble the two rods tightly. Under pressure to get the job done, I had to resort to drilling for set screws to hold the connector in place. This is not easy in stainless without a drill press on site, and likely beyond to capabilities of many DIYers. This may not be a big problem for a straight rod well fastened at both ends. For the neo-angle rod I ordered it was absolutely necessary for the joint to be tight and secure. The rod is a beautiful product, and I wish I could recommend it highly., Hopefully the company can come up with a better solution for the connector.
