Shade No. 2.5 (The Foundation)

Perfection

I started with the skin tint in shade 1.5, designed for light olive skin. I then decided to try the foundation in the shade 2.5, also for light olive skin, hoping to use this for more coverage than the skin tint in strategic places on my face. It is a spot on match for a very light olive undertone (desaturated and cool toned leaning). The formula works beautifully in combination with the skin tint or by itself. This has changed my foundation routine because the formula is beautiful and I don't have to struggle mixing foundations. This is all I will buy moving forward. The foundation and the skin tint are now my go to. Absolutely perfect!

Perfect match

I like to apply foundation only where needed, so I really appreciate how good of a shade match this is, and that I can apply it in thin layers without patchiness or streaking. It doesn't add any wetness or creaminess to the skin, which is great for my oily skin. It lasts for the majority of my work day before starting to wear off. My only complaint is about the pump - on lighter coverage days, I don't necessarily need a full pump, and on heavier days I'd like to use maybe 1.3 pumps, but you can't control how much comes out so you're locked into 1 or 2 pumps and just generally waste a lot of product.

This is the absolute perfect shade for me. Lisa Eldridge has such a beautiful understanding of undertones and how her products will perform on different skin tones and textures, and this is the perfect muted cool yellow/green to blend seamlessly on my skin. When I’ve been good about taking my skincare seriously it’s also a gorgeous natural finish, and otherwise it’s just a bit flat on my dry skin. But that’s my fault, and it still doesn’t cling to any dry patches, which is a miracle.
