Fit and Flex
I haven’t skied the TX Comp yet, but even in floor testing the difference from the TX Pro is obvious. The stiffer bellows, more supportive cuff, and firmer longitudinal sole flex all work together as a unified system — something my TX Pros never quite managed. On carpet, the Comp’s flex chain feels smooth, connected, and predictable and the liner seems to be quite snug without baking.

Great boot but a weird choice
First and foremost, I think the Scarpa TX Comp is the best tele boot out there right now. The fit is slightly improved over the last iteration, although the length is a bit shorter so sizing up might be required.
However, I feel like the new TX Comp should just be the TX Pro, and the Comp should be a much heavier, resort-focused boot like the old Comp was. The TX Pro is fine for light backcountry use, but it gets overpowered easily in the resort. The Comp tours basically the same as the Pro, but skis better and is an acceptable inbounds boot.

The best boots I’ve ever owned
They are a little stiff out of the box, but after you break them in a bit, they are superb. I love going back to the three-buckle!
I like the TX Pro for backcountry, but the Comps drive hard in-bounds. If I had to choose only one, it would be the Comps.
Please keep making the best telemark boots in the world! The waiting is the hardest part.
