I waited until 2025 to buy a PS5, and then the controller developed horrid stick drift after just 2 months of solid use. Unacceptable. Instead of dealing with the Sony warranty for a temporary fix, I just sent it to Mike to have Ginfull TMR sticks installed. I found the service on Ebay and then paid on Mike's website to save a couple bucks. I’ve had no problems since the controller was returned. The TMR sticks feel like they have slightly less tension than the stock potentiometers, but feel smooth and accurate. I just beat Returnal using this controller and have zero complaints. The repair turnaround was super fast, just one day, but UPS ground both ways is pretty slow to keep costs low. I decided to buy a second controller, I’ll get the sticks replaced in that one too when it develops drift. Thanks!
