I’m 6’3”, 225 lbs, and surf mostly White Plains, Courts, amd Kaisers on O’ahu. So easy it was to generate speed even in weaker surf. The rails bite beautifully and carve through turns with way more confidence than I expected. Coming from a traditional longboard, I thought I’d be fighting to stay balanced, but instead the board felt incredibly stable and predictable. I rode it with large quad fins, and for me that setup was perfect. It had plenty of drive, held through bottom turns, and still felt loose enough to redirect without forcing it. If you’re a larger surfer coming off a longboard and wondering whether a mid-length will still paddle well and catch waves, don’t underestimate this board. It gives you much of the wave-catching ability of a longboard while opening up a whole new level of performance and maneuverability. For me, the MOE 7’4” is exactly what I was hoping for: a board that still catches waves easily but makes me want to surf them instead of just ride them.

The hype is real on the moe mini. I never thought I could replace my 702 moe but this board is amazing. From knee high to a few feet overhead, this board delivers!
