Energy transfer
Coming out of my beginner stage, I'm moving from a power break with a 25 Oz cue to a more balanced lighter cue like the pros use.
The reason I chose Raven is specifically because of the carbon composite shell with a maple core. I wanted the most out of the energy transfer. This is also my first Radial connection and it feels more solid a connection then anything else in my arsenal. I also wanted a set up where all my equipment matches so the red and black was right up my alley.
The performance has not disappointed in the least. I feel like I'm getting maximum power with minimal effort all while still having complete control of the cue ball. The Kamui Control tip in addition has the feel of a playing cue without the downside. With 9 ball being so much about the break, my game has skyrocketed because it makes me a real threat to run out after every break knowing where the cue ball would end up.
I said all that to say this. I now have a professional break cue at the price point of a budget cue. I honestly don't know what else I could possibly ask for. Raven hit this one out the park.

It is a great cue. We'll built with tight joints. I had the cuetec Kintrol tip put on. Good sound and feel from shaft. Not tinky sounding like some others.
