The right filter for you?
Paria's filter system is awesome! It's lighter than the stand by Sawyer Squeeze and comes with a squeeze bag at no extra cost.
But you might ask what was sacrificed to attain such a great price. Ultimately it comes down to life expectancy. A Sawyer Squeeze is going to filter a LOT more water than the Paria filter will.
Paria's filter is rated for 5,000 liters
Sawyer Squeeze is rated for more than 300,000 liters
Sawyer Mini is rated for 100,000 liters, but has a 0.5 liter/min flow rate vs the 1 liter/min flow rate of the Paria filter.
The Sawyer mini and the Paria filters sit at about the same price range.
But is the Paria filter right for you?
If you're a gram counter, it might be!
If you're exploring hiking and backpacking but unsure if you'll really be into it, the Paria filter might be for you.
If you only go out once or twice a year this filter will still last you years of use, assuming you don't damage it, but that's a factor no matter what filter you're using.
In my opinion, this filter sits at a great entry price point given it's features.

Awesome little filter
Compact and very well thought-through design, I love that it screws onto most standard bottles. For the price, it's awesome!

High quality, great price
Bought a set of these to upgrade some carbon fiber stakes I've used with my MYOG tent (carbon just wasn’t up to the beating). Searching for stakes that were light, low cost, and high quality, I found these and they are great!
