Italian Wooden Crucifix

Beautiful

It is a beautiful crucifix, a work of art. It is a delicate, carved, wooden corpus on a pale wooden cross. It is discreet, yet you are drawn to gaze on it. It evokes calmness. It is also conducive to prayer.

Beautiful, simple and ornate

Its just what I was looking for, the image of crist on the cross as reminder to all who enter my home, in natural unfinished wood, but the the detail is in the carving is exquisite.

Love, but a little surprised

I love the design, and the carving of Jesus is intricate and stunning. HOWEVER…for the price, I was expecting the cross itself to be a higher quality piece of wood. It’s not a carving, but instead is actually just a few very light pieces glued together. I thought it was a carving and would have liked it to have some weight to it. Nonetheless I do love it, but I’m not sure I would buy it again for that price and wood quality. Just my prerogative
