Stardust Dance Dress

material is very good quality and it is a cute dress. my only complaint is that the chest area is Very Tight, even with following the sizing chart for it (I got a XXL for reference). also I needed help with buttoning the two top buttons on the back but I think I can figure out how to do it myself eventually. the bow is a nice touch. I did notice one of the sleeves (the left one) seemed a bit short compared to the other one, though it hasn't bothered me too much but I figured I should mention it as well.

I would really love to write a glowing review of this dress since its such a gorgeous design, but unfortunately theres just two big issues- the first is that the sizing is WAYY off. I have a 36 inch bust and 30 inch waist, so i ordered a medium. The dress came in and measured 40 inches at the bust and 36 at the waist! I messaged customer service and they were super quick and helpful. They offered me a free exchange for a small. When I finally got the small in.. it was still too big. I was able to sew a few darts in to help it fit so its wearable now thankfully. The small also had a hole in the pocket which I had to fix myself. The other issue is the color. I thought the dress looked dark, navy blue with butter yellow accents in the photos, but both dresses I got are black with orangey gold accents. Maybe its just the lighting, but it really doesnt look the same in the online photos as of does in person. It is however made of nice fabric, and is well constructed.

I love it so much, but....

The fit in the chest is all wrong. I got an XS (The smallest size) It was a good match with my chest measurements. The dress itself is beautiful, but the fit is wrong unfortunately. I hate that my first review has to be this way. For context I am a 36 in the chest and the chest part of this dress is just so baggie and feels like it's made with people with bigger chests in mind which is actually super disheartening. I know I know, I am "just another skinny girl finding things to pick at." However this is a size inclusive brand. That does mean largest to smallest. This fit around the stomach was also too big and I would have liked to see this dress just a little smaller. This is also a dress that you need that's a two person job. Overall Cons: - Too baggy in chest area for my fellow itty bitty tiddy committee people - Fit around stomach is also too baggy - The bow is separate meaning easy to lose - You need to live with another person so they can help you put on the dress. - Zipper gets caught easily. - If you get hot easy this is not a summer dress - If you have broad shoulders the mesh isn't stretchy so you may have limited mobility - The collar can make you claustrophobic if you're not used to something hugging your neck. Overall Pros: + Good quality and I trust the stitching + Very very pretty + Embroidery is immaculate quality + Seems to almost have a hidden zipper + It has deep pockets My conclusion is that this is a good dress, but does have some flaws. Nothing is perfect obviously. I am very lucky to be able to afford to even purchase the dress. I Will still wear the dress out, but unfortunately I need to get it taken in first.
