King of the Colosseum Set by Play On Table Top

Four years ago I discovered that 40k existed via Yourube suggesting lore videos. I was over 40 years old. Then I started watching Play On Tabletop. The game seemed too complicated to me. But I loved to watch. And I wanted some models. So I bought and painted a starter set. But didn’t play. Then I heard about One Page Rules and Grimdark Future. A simplified form of gaming that made sense to me. Then…I discovered “King of the Colosseum”. “I can do this.”, I told myself. So I bought this KotC kit and played my very first miniature war game ever… with my son. I can honestly say that it was a a new “core memory” of my life. A major mile stone. Th experience feels as significant as the day I graduated Marine Corps Boot Camp. Thank you Play On for designing a terrain set that makes it easy for a beginner like me to get started in this space and thank you Frontline Gaming for ensuring the manufacturing and fulfillment are done right.

This is a very nice kit. As always the gaming mat is top tier. The terrain is well printed and super easy to build. Looks great once it’s all combined. Can’t wait to play some King of the Colosseum!

Excellent quality for the mat and terrain, but mat storage bad had a bad zipper and doesn't close. It's easy to build, and very detailed. Only complaint is there isn't kinds of rules on how to actually play colosseum.
