I love the fit, but the color washed out

I loved the fit and material, however, after one visit to a hot tub, the color faded and bleached out but not uniformly. I tried washing again and it had no impact. I'm really sad I only got to wear my suit once and this didn't happen to any other of my swimsuits or my husband's swim trunks.
