Meta Quest 3 – Breakthrough Mixed Reality Headset – 512GB – White – 899-00652-01

Terrible resolution and help from customer service

I purchased a Meta Quest 3 from R3NEW through the Shop app with paid expedited shipping because it was intended as a birthday gift for my child. UPS lost the package, and I repeatedly told R3NEW that I wanted the order fulfilled or a comparable replacement rather than a refund. At this point I was willing to wait and wanted another unit at the agreed upon price. R3NEW required me to wait through the UPS investigation before it would discuss a resolution. During that time, the headset missed my child’s birthday. UPS later indicated that the investigation had been delayed because required information was still needed from the shipper, although R3NEW claimed it had already provided everything. Once UPS confirmed the package was lost, R3NEW issued a refund without contacting me or offering a replacement, even though comparable units appeared to remain available at a substantially higher price while waiting for UPS’s resolution. The refund was not immediately returned to me and could take up to 10 business days meaning my money remained tied up and I could not use those funds to purchase another headset elsewhere in time for the birthday. There was zero help from customer service and they reiterated responses as if it’s AI. I was willing to wait and negotiate. Very disappointing but I can only blame myself. I was hesitant from the beginning and I hope this review saves at least one person some hassle.
