Ethiopia: Organic Konga G2, Yirgacheffe

Solid coffee. Great taste with a not too overpowering tea-like flavor, which is pleasant. I roasted up a 1lb bag in a few different batches and found the lighter to medium roast brings out the flavors the best. I will say that I had a hard time removing the outer parchment or skin on the beans after pan roasting - especially with the real small beans. Moreso than any other coffee beans that I’ve pan roasted on my stovetop for whatever reason. Nonetheless, I recommend trying.

Coffee ok, shipping not so much. When received package, it looked like something had chewed a bit on one bottom corner. when I opened package several beans were loose inside plastic shipping packet and spilled out. There ws not a huge amount loose, but could not tell if some had fallen out in transit. Looked loke shipper might have had a rodent infestation.

Classic Ethiopian Flavor Profile

Lively acid balance with complex fruit flavors. Good alternative to Misty Valley for variety within the same regional profile.
