Negative review on the DJI R-RTK 3 Base Station

I recently purchased the DJI R-RTK 3 Base Station and, unfortunately, I am extremely disappointed with the quality and overall performance. From the start, the hardware has felt underwhelming for a piece of equipment at this price point. But the biggest issue is the software. The DJI Enterprise app is very elementary and surprisingly buggy. It frequently freezes or “chokes up,” forcing me to restart the app far more often than should ever be necessary in a professional surveying workflow. That alone makes it difficult to rely on in the field. Performance as a rover has been even more frustrating. When connected to the CRTN network, the unit constantly loses connection and takes an unreasonable amount of time to regain a fixed solution. Nearly every time I record a point, it drops signal and has to reconnect. This makes efficient data collection nearly impossible and completely defeats the purpose of investing in RTK equipment for productivity and precision. Another serious issue is with coordinate system settings. Within the app, when changing coordinate systems, it states that values are displayed in meters, but they clearly are not. That kind of inconsistency is unacceptable for professional survey equipment and raises concerns about reliability and accuracy. Overall, I regret purchasing this unit from DSLRPros. Based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend this product, and I will be pursuing a return. For equipment in this price range, I expected professional-grade reliability and this has fallen well short of that standard.

I was concerned about the high cost of this when I ordered... Upon inspection after arrival, the quality of the equipment justified the purhcase price.
