Universal 3rd Brake Light Kit for Air-Topper®

Pretty easy to install . Woks great. Wish the wire was in the middle of the light and could be a bit longer. Videos showed it being wired into the drivers side tail light but had to wire into passenger side since the wire exited the 3rd brake light on the passenger side and the wire is too short to route to drivers side on my 3rd gen tacoma. Not a big deal though.

I have a Chevy Silverado which as it turns out uses a common wire for both the brake and turn signals. I had to buy a T- Connector to splice into the wiring harness for the truck lights and a buy a signal isolator/separator to get the third brake light to work…took a lot of time to figure this out and get it to work. The third brake light in NJ has been mandatory for years and I had no choice but to figure it out. I bought TAG 215272 T connector from EZ Wheeler to tap into the brake lights. Its plug and play but costs $140. Works perfectly.

Haven't had a chance to use it yet. Tried to install and discovered that my truck doesn't use the tail light to connect this. There is a special connection under the truck and we haven't had a chance to look for it. My friend thinks he can connect it to the 4 pin in the bed of the truck with something he has at work so once he tries that and IF it works I'll come back to this.
