Any 338 user knowns they need this!
The best solution available for dealing with the sloped hood of a 338. Have your laptop or near field monitors where you want them with out the need for wonky pole mounts or case shelves.

Digi Top
The Digi Top sits level and securely on top of the cowling of the Digico Quantum 338. I have been using them for a few weeks now. They work well to place my nearfield monitors in a good listening position. They could also work well for a laptop or something as they can also lock together. I found they pack well as the legs fold down flat and I can slide them in my workbox.
