Good with some issues
I am 5” tall and made the small size of this pattern. So for the most part this has been a pleasant knit but the pattern is not a good pattern. It is poorly written and leaves some questions unanswered as I was knitting along. Fortunately, I had access to the companion video that I could watch when I had a question and that helped fill in the “hole”. I am not a new knitter but I am a very detail driven person. I wish that when people write patterns they would treat their patterns like they are going to people that are new knitters or have never knitted before. The other issue I have with this pattern is that there is not a schematic of the vest sizing. My vest came out well but it was also a bit snugger than I like because I knitted the small size. Now I realize that I may have knitted off gauge (I did have trouble achieving gauge, so I went with the needle the pattern came with). So before I knitted the neck and armhole plackets, I washed the vest and blocked it in the hope that I could gently stretch it out a small amount. I just wanted a looser (maybe 1”) fit and the next size up would have been too large for me and my liking.

Finally finished! I am 5’4, 130 #s and made the small. I might make another in medium to have more room in the body, but the small fit. I’ve knitted lots of hats, scarves, etc. so this was my first attempt at clothing. It turned out great! Would like to try it in another yarn as this one is a bit scratchy for me.

Slow Sunday Vest
I enjoyed knitting the Slow Sunday Vest! The Sierra Peruvian Yarn is so soft!! I am 5' 5.5", and chose the Medium size. I did add about 2 inches to the body length, as I prefer more length for my torso. I love that the pattern has MANY sizes included (XS-2XL).
