Toler UNION

An utterly moronic and overcomplicated design, with a nonsensical assortment of tools. Here's the process for using it as a screwdriver: unfold the handles, actuate the lock tab on the wrench side to unfold them fully, flip the pliers to the extended position, open the plier handles so the bits are accessible, extract a bit, close the pliers and fold them inward again, fold the tool back together (again sliding the lock tab on the wrench side), take out the bit extender, connect the bit to the extender, connect the extender to the handle. Contrast this with my Gerber, where all TEN tool bits are accessible with a single flip of a thumbnail and the pliers don't have to be opened at all. And you can't misplace the bits on a Gerber or Leatherman. There are universal sockets that don't require as much lateral clearance as this wrench does. The transition from one angle to another runs the risk of stripping the fastener. And the pocket clips - plural... Anyone seen the movie "Brazil?"

I haven't gotten to use it yet, but so far this might be one of the worst tools I've ever purchased. There's rust on it straight out of the box. The clip that holds the union bit down broke off immediately, and the construction just seems poor. I'm going to try it out for a few days, but currently my hopes are pretty low.
