This is my first wood ship model. I have built dozens of plastic models over many years so I wanted a new experience in model building. I researched and found that OcCre was highly rated. I am disappointed for the following reasons. -Precut parts arrived warped and required reshaping. -The metal cast parts have a lot of flash requiring much sanding and grinding to improve the appearance. -Parts do not fit as shown in instruction guide. This is frustrating and it requires a lot of modification to make the model look uniform. There is minimal guidance on how to make them fit properly. -The instructions are vague and require much planning ahead going back and forth between all sets of instructions. Some of the translation to English is also off. -The instruction videos are helpful but not complete. Mistakes are made, which also caused me to make mistakes, so I have stopped watching the videos. I go to other model building websites. -Being new to wood ship model building and per the OcCre website this model is rated as a “Beginner level” I am surprised and so far disappointed. I am going to continue building the model but I imagine it will take much more time than 120 hours as suggested.

The buying and receiving experience were great, at this moment I am starting to assemble the ship, it is my first, so it will probably take time to finish. I will be glad to share my experiences after I complete the project.
