Fun with Matisse & Picasso Inspired Abstracts With Yvette St. Amant

Every class I have taken with Yvette, is a combo of teaching, skills, history, the why and the how. This course was no different, it was fun and I felt free to explore. I ventured beyond the course and tried something similar. I was so much fun!!

I had admired Yvette's painting for quite some time on FB. But as a beginner I just wasn't sure I could paint them. Recently, I moved to a new State (Nevada) where I knew only 2 people and I needed something extra in my life. I saw a FB ad for Yvette's Whimsical Portrait class. SO I said ok this is my sign to give it a try. I purchased it and jumped in! 18 FUN portraits later, I'm hooked. I purchased two more classes from her and have been totally enjoying the Picasso/Matisse classes. Yvette's pre-recorded classes give you the time to do it at your pace by pausing and rewind. I have now found myself at my art desk daily and my soul is happy. Don't say "I can't do it". Just try, it you might just surprise yourself! Thanks Yvette!

One of my favorite classes! Each lesson was approachable and easy to follow along with. While the class used acrylics and paint pens, I opted to create my work digitally. My process had to be slightly different, but it was so similar that it was easy to adapt to my choice of medium. I definitely feel prepared to create my own pieces like this!
