The Tutti Frutti Jumper

For months, I have been admiring a particular sweater online. Not in a sensible way. In the way a Victorian heroine might gaze wistfully across a windswept moor at a man she can never have. Every few days, I'd check whether it was still there. Occasionally I'd put it in my basket. Then I'd remove it again because apparently I am the sort of woman who can spend £3.50 on an overpriced and unnecessary coffee without a second thought, but requires a full cost-benefit analysis before purchasing knitwear. This week, I finally bought it. Oh my word, it is glorious I have worn it today, in June, and I am now considering arranging my entire wardrobe around it. It's funny how something so small can bring such disproportionate delight. Not every joy has to be profound. Sometimes happiness is simply a sweater. Even in June 😁
