Abiding in Jesus

I love this book. I feel reconnected to Jesus each day. I feel I can get to the heart of the verses and apply them to my life!!!

Refreshingly simple, DEEPLY life giving

I’m enjoying this study so much! I’ve heard of the SOAP method for years, but didn’t think much of it. Maybe it’s just the season I’m in right now, or I didn’t give it enough of a chance before. All I know is, writing the scripture and seeing it with fresh eyes has been feeding my heart and refreshing my love of the word and heart of God!! The way this is laid out and formatted is lovely. I am a designer and I love to see books that are beautifully done. What I especially love here is that the devotional writings are (1) brief and (2) located outside the spread where we journal our own experience with the scripture. This allows me to glean my own insights without any other influence. Then I can turn the page and be additionally blessed by short reading. Other studies are more focused on walking readers through someone else’s insights. That’s not all bad, but nothing beats getting your nuggets straight from the word with the help of the Spirit, as I’m sure we can all agree. Whether you are seasoned at all this or quite new to the faith, I highly recommend committing to one whole journal/workbook— you never know what the Father will do with your offering of time and attention!!
