Padre Pio Book: Excellent True Story of a Beloved Saint
The facts in this book are genuine and well written, as are all the Saint Joseph Picture Books. Illustrations on every page are rich and engaging and importantly enhance the excellent text. My husband and I became very interested in Padre Pio in the past few years and learned about him and began to ask for Padre Pio's prayers. Then last Fall my husband suffered a serious cerebral stroke. For three weeks my family were by his side praying for him to recover enough. One day I told Padre Pio I didn't know what to pray for my husband any more, and asked for Padre Pio to pray for him now. Late that night I went home exhausted, fell asleep, and then came a phone call that my husband had died at 3:00 in the morning. I went to claim my husband's body. He had a gentle smile on his face and his Padre Pio prayer card on his chest. It was September 23, 2025, the feast day of Padre Pio. I will be purchasing copies of this excellent book from Catholic Book Publishers, to mark the one-year anniversary of my husband's passing for each of our children and grandchildren because it is the best rendition of this beloved Saint Padre Pio, who took care of my husband when I asked him to do so. This book makes Saint Padre Pio come alive, and I am sure he is watching over my husband now.
