Christian Prayer

Worth every penny!

I am new to the Liturgy Of The Hours and I love this book. I use it everyday. I am still learning my way around it, but I'm getting more comfortable each time I pick it up. Probably generational, but I enjoy it far more than reading the prayers and psalms off my phone.

Eye opener

At first I ordered Christian Prayer out of curiosity and then I began exploring the contents and instructions. About all I can say is "I'm hooked." I've been on earth over 91 yrs. and I can't think of anything that had this influence on me.

A treasure for daily lay devotions

It has all the readings, psalms, canticles and prayers that are needed for morning, evening and night prayer. In addition it has hymns, poetry, essays by church scholars, musical settings and calendars. It worth taking some time to read the rubrics and figure out how it's organized. Once you've gotten oriented, it very easy to pray the offices. Also I like having the physical book in my hands to help me stay focused. I know that picking it up is the beginning of prayer.
