Am I applying this wrong?

I was so excited about this product but it did not meet the expectations. The shade and formula are beautiful, but I feel it does not blend well with other products like moisturisers and sunscreen. When I try to blend, it creates blotchy patches on the cheeks. And sadly at the end of the day it's more of a fading flush and in some areas the colour is completely gone.

I loved that I was notified every step of the process of the whereabouts of my package and it was delivered really quickly.
