WGSAD® | USA Edition

I purchased two USA and two world maps for our two adult day program facilities serving persons with disabilities. The art is so fun visually and bonus was adding the learning guides to these for the meaningfulness. The way I am presenting it will be on "mission cards" so there will be two goals each day presented similarly to a detective getting his mission first thing in the day (like "Get Smart" or "Charlie's Angels"). As the other bookend, after finding the icons and reading the fun facts related to them, clients can choose any of the non-alphabetized icons. There is so much more to it than this, but I cannot tell you how grateful I am that this will be something EVERYONE can participate in.

My friend's two boys are ages 6 and 9 (I think) are having a good time with it. The one thing they didn't understand was why the Egyptian pyramids were on a map of the United States. I didn't have an answer for them, but they are enjoying the map.

We do homeschool so we’ve been using this as a bridge to our history lesson. Been having fun finding lots of characters. Our youngest is particularly gifted with the ability to find the smallest thing. We will see how long it takes us to find them all.
