Pavlova Platforms - Black

I genuinely think these are very pretty, although I can't speak to how they will hold up over time. The concept is on pointe (haha)! I really only have one complaint, but it's kind of a big one. The issue with the ribbon ties are that they either slip down when you walk or, if you tie them tight enough not to slip, are quite painful and dig into your leg. I had to purchase elastic ribbons on Amazon and replace them entirely. With the elastic ribbons, the shoes are perfect-- but, in my opinion, they should have had that basic design quality/thoughtfulness from the very beginning; it seems like the bare minimum to use elastic instead of ribbons that clearly do not work if you wear the shoes for longer than a few minutes. As for sizing, I normally am a 7.5 (USA W); I purchased a 7 and it fits, I think an 8 would be too big for me so I would personally size down for my fellow half-size ladies!

The shoes were very narrow and doll-like. They also gave the look/quality of being handmade rather than the quality control that more familiar brands would use with large scale productions. Although I didn’t love the shoes, my real issue is that the shoes were already $148, and they charged shipping, furthermore, they charged me an additional shipping and restocking fee to send the shoes back to them when they did not fit. Overall, I ended up losing about $40 in shipping the shoes to my home and back to them.. $40 to literally try on one foot of a shoe.. there are a lot of other cute items on their website that I had previously been interested in, but based off of the shipping and return policies, I would not purchase from them again :/
