I put these strings as an experiment. I will briefly explain: I built a Fender Jazz bass, using an All Parts Fender Jazz bass wood body with a flame maple top. I added a new reissue 70’s style block inlay fender bass neck, which fit perfectly. I used EMG active pickups for one reason. I made the bass into a 5-sting bass but only using the top 4 strings. It was simply an expensive experiment by that turned into GOLD. By using the Sadowsky Rounds; 5 strings set), and the EMG’s, this bass is simply awesome.
