NeoLucida Deluxe

Very nice, high quality tool, needs a little getting used to.

Overall I am happy with my purchase and I think this will appeal to someone serious about learning to draw. It is a nice tool primarily for those who are serious about drawing because you need to invest some time getting used to it. You do have to practice a little. One tip I could give you is to use the shaders provided with the devices. If you have trouble seeing the paper and your pencil, (your eyes only focus on your subject) use the shaders (either the paddle for the 'plus' model or the dedicated shader panel that pops up from the 'xl'). You have to spend some time setting up the scene and experiment with lighting, use a lamp etc. but once you have it all dialed in it is a beautiful tool. Dont expect to be able to draw tiny details though. I kinda prefer the neolucida plus because it can give a slightly sharper image, but again this is entirely subjective. I really like the travel case, it is just wonderful and very practical for the outdoors. Thank you.

Pretty cool device. Bought it for my wife for her botanical drawing and it works, as advertised! I also like that it’s portable and can be used to draw things around town too.

The clamp that holds the goose neck is completely out of line. The threaded portion that allows the adjustment of the clamp is so bad out of alignment it doesn't match the anvil portion and I want a replacement! If this allowed a picture I would include it. I demand a replacement of the goose neck clamp. $159 indicates a quality product. I do not have that with this setup!
