Stono Inshore Reel

So far….its great! I took it out for the first time today (finally!) and it did amazing. Cast was smooth, felt good in the hand, everything you could ask for…EXCEPT a way to back reel when you reel your line in a little too far and it makes it difficult opening the bail to cast again. Honestly, that’s my only complaint. And to be fair, if I pay a little more attention to what I’m doing, I wouldn’t have that problem. And I only ran into that problem twice. So if I could give it 4.5 stars I absolutely would. Mind you, I chose this rod and reel over a Penn Force. Mad props to Toadfish and what y’all are doing. I’ll be coming back for another inshore rod and reel and maybe a surf rod.

I don’t hear much about fresh water here but my 6ft 8in carbon elite with my new stono 3000 is my perfect small and large mouth bass rig ! Awesome setup!

The 2500 reel and Stono Inshore rod are exceptional. We fish fresh water with them and could not be happier.
