Grommet Broke

I have been seasoning my corset according to schedule and not wearing it too tightly. It had been going well. While taking it off today, one of the grommets snapped off. I don’t understand how this happened. Please help on what I should do as I thought they were built for daily wear and to last. . thank you.

I write this from the perspective of a happy husband (happy wife, happy life!). My wife lost so much weight that her old corset from Orchard was too big! With the old corset, the size chart and a little help I was able to surprise my wife with a new one as a gift! It fits her perfectly and she's happy she got one that fits again
