Steel-Boned Longline Underbust Cotten Corset (CS-426) (Black)
First, I must say, I bought this corset expecting it to come 7 to 10 business days, which is the Standard free shipping option I chose. I bought it and it was at my doorstep the next day! REALLY fast shipping! Also, Orchard Corset's customer service is one of the best! I wish more companies had as good service as they did! Ok, now, as for the corset review: This is my very first corset! I wanted to make sure I experienced this corset before writing a review on it. At first, I was afraid it wouldn't fit my torso because the corset would have either been just right, or half an inch too long. I'm 5ft 1.5in and my torso length was JUST the right size. (If my torso was even a quarter of an inch shorter, this corset would have been too long). If this helps at all for anyone, my measurements are 32"bust (sad, I know. :'D), 25" waist, 33.5" hip (below belly button), and 11" torso. (You'd think I'd have a slight hourglass shape, but I don't, thanks to my blocky ribcage, which is why I got this corset). I don't have a lot of squish factor, and I am skinny-fat and musculature by nature. Though it's going to take longer for me to get that desired hourglass look, I HAVE seen slight results in my waist training just in the past 2 weeks I've been wearing the corset. (I did not wear the corset every day, and on the days I did wear it, I wore it for 2 to 4 hours at a time). I'm being as detailed as possible so anyone reading this can get some kind of idea of what this corset is like and how it effects this body type I have. I got the 20", and I was afraid I got a size too small, but as I seasoned the corset over the past two weeks, it started to show signs of fitting perfectly to my body. Though I haven't closed the back yet, I have seen signs of cinching in my waist and ribs. (There are still some gaps on the top and bottom of the corset, but I'm making sure I'm taking my time, cinching safely and comfortably). As for the corset itself, it's VERY comfortable. I got this during winter, and it keeps me a little warm during really cold days. (I wonder what it will be like wearing this during summer. I hope it's not too hot). It was a little difficult to lace it up by myself at first, but, then again, this was my first corset and I'm not used to it. It was also still manageable. (It works your arm muscles as a bonus). It really helps to have someone view your back and tell you if everything is parallel, especially when you're seasoning your corset. (It's even better if someone helps you put it on). The ONLY downside to this corset is that if you have pets or linty clothing, it'll stick to the corset. (And if you have a black corset like mine, you'll see every hair and fluff ball). BUT, this is easily fixed with tape or a roller. :) So, there's no real down side, in my opinion.
