I do enjoy having an affordable cable tower in my small gym. It operates as it should. I cannot give it 5 stars because of the condition it arrived in from FEDEX (the box was ripped wide open, exposing the parts at one end). The assembly went well, all parts accounted for, but the lower end of the main post is drilled on the wrong face where it connects to the foot. Currently gravity holds it together there till I can drill the proper hole. Also, one of the two pulleys at the top of the post is cocked off angle so that the cable does not come off straight. I gotta pry that down to align it. The holes a the bottom are a manufacture problem, but the alignment issue might be a shipping problem. Both are fixable and otherwise it's working as it should.

The box was beat up so bad in shipping that it was marked as a shipping exception and routed back automatically. Homegrown sent me another but the box - again - was beat up by the time it got to me. Opening it up figured out why - there's a lot of weight from bits and pieces but no internal packaging, everything is just in plastic bags. So the box had no structure to support it and just got crushed and bent until the long bars inside provided some sort of resistance. The nuts/bolts had not slipped out of the hole in the box but were all in one bag, so setting up a parts table of my own and figuring out which one was which took a bit of time. Instructions were meh, not bad but not helpful. It was also missing a couple of notes like putting the smaller buffer pads on top of the weight carrier slide; but overall it all went together well with only myself to assemble.

My cable tower box was damaged in shipping when it arrived, so it was missing some pieces. I called and Justin advised sending them a list of the missing parts and a photo of the box. They assembled everything I needed and shipped it out to me that day. They demonstrated excellent customer service and great communication. The cable tower itself is solid. The directions are not the easiest, and I was warned that some units ship out with directions that don't match the kit exactly; but if you have any basic mechanical skills, you will be fine. Be prepared to put some bolts through in the opposite direction from what is pictured, as it's the only way they will fit. It's not a problem. Also when running the main cable, I found the easiest thing is to start at one ball-end and sequence through the installation of each pulley as you thread the cable through it's course. The instructions don't tell you that, but I can't think of another way to do it.
