Custom Kydex Sheath for the ESEE Gibson Axe

Nice sheath. Replaced the dual straps with a Tek-Lok molle mount for my hip belt.

Failure after 1 month of use

The sheath looks great and I was hopeful that it would work well for me. After about a month of use it has failed me. I remove and re-insert my Esee axe several times a day. It appears that the kydex has stretched and loosened over the month I've had it. This has caused the axe to come out of the sheath with little effort. I really noticed this issue when hiking and I temporarily lost my axe. While the sheath was mounted to my hip the axe worked itself out and fell on the trail. Fortunately, I was able to retrace my steps and find the axe. Unless I received a defective model, this sheath is more of a novelty and not meant for any real use.
