Nice boots but nice boots, but they slip down the legs

Since I bought the boots I have worn them twice and on both occasions, as I walked, the leg of the boot was slipping towards the ankles and becoming wrinkled and not as stylish as I had hoped. I have taken them to the cobbler to have a rubber band sewn on the top of the boot to stop it slipping.
