Beautiful story of loss and love

I feel the book handled the themes of tragedy, abuse, and loss well. The characters were allowed to feel and find happiness without making light of their hurtful pasts. The moments they cherished resulted from their strength in surviving the harsh realities they experienced, and purposefully choosing a better path. It's a beautiful story and I can't wait to read more!

A terrific story

I love the characters in this story and the telepathic dogs so much. I bought the paperback set for my friend to enjoy. Looking forward to book 3!
