Nicks 6" Robert Boot

The Robert Boot in Brown Chromexcel from Nicks’s is fantastic. The quality, fit, finish and craftsmanship is second to none. The customer service from Atomic 79 is excellent. The only criticism I have is the boots I bought are new but were built in 2022 as stenciled on the inside of the top of the quarters. Because they’re 4 years old they’ve been sitting in the box on a shelf somewhere in the basement and there’s a musty smell to the boots and box. The eyelets are also tarnished. The boots are functionally fine but the smell and the eyelets being tarnished is not a positive. For this reason I gave a four star review. You might want to consider selling these boots at cost and getting some new inventory as opposed to holding them forever until they sell. I was also looking to buy another Nicks boot the Builderpro in black and requested pictures and the pictures didn’t match the website photos. The website photos showed smooth black vamps and quarters. The photos sent showed smooth quarters with roughout vamps. The eyelets in the photos were also tarnished badly. For this reason I didn’t buy. The store needs to make sure the photos match the inventory and again when customers are paying $500-$600 for boots they don’t want musty smelling boots with tarnished eyelets from 4 years ago.
