A Treasure of a Second book
Loved the second book more than the first. Cenric and Brynn are growing together as a team. While Brynn is pulled way out of her element in a foreign land, I really appreciated how steadfast Cenric is to her. You can see how they've rubbed off on each other as leaders and as they deal with political machinations against them. I also very much agree with Cenrics opinion of wanting to punch Oswald and Hroàrr in the throat for their treatment of Brynn at various times throughout the story. (And the puppy lives)

Much more than I expected
I have to be honest with you, first, I downloaded the Tears of the Wolf for free. But after 4-5 chapters, I was stunned! I thought it's some light pulp fiction. WELL, I WAS WRONG!!! As soon, as I could, I ordered all two books from the author's page, because Miss Wheastley deserve every support, she can get. The story was balanced. Bloody, also heartwarming. Gave me time to connect with the caracters, also the BEST fight scenes I've ever read. I liked it very much, that the direhounds are not some bear-sized wolves, and they are not some human-like, antient and wise beings. Their words truly are the words of a dog. It was such a nice change. I don't give it 5 stars, because despite the deep and horrid story elements, the reader always know, that this story will end with a HEA. It is a comforting reading experience, and I am truly grateful for it!

A great story
A very enjoyable book! Read it in just 2 days. I really enjoyed the characters of Brynn and Cenric though Snapper does tend to steal the show when he's there. I really felt for Brynn and what she's been through. I am looking forward to reading the next in the series.
