Bug Repellent and Bite Soother

Disappointed after testing it all summer long

I really wanted to love this product :( I live in southeast Georgia, where the mosquitoes are absolutely insane during this time of the year, so I made a point to test this all summer before leaving a review. I used it while camping, hiking, doing yard work, after swimming at the springs in FL, and even just running errands outside to give it a fair chance in different situations. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed. My 1st biggest issue is that it didn't work well as a bug repellent, and even after applying it as directed, the mosquitoes were still eating me alive. I ended up getting bitten far more than I expected. I've tried applying it even after getting bitten with no luck. My 2nd issue is that the formula is extremely greasy and never really absorbs into the skin. One of the reasons I bought this was because I was hoping for a more comfortable alternative to conventional bug sprays, but it actually ended up feeling more greasy than many of the chemical-based brands I've tried in the past. For $19, I expected much better. I still have a lot left in the bottle, but it feels like money wasted because I don't see myself reaching for it again, sadly. I appreciate that it's made with natural ingredients, but in my experience, it didn't provide the protection I was hoping for, and the greasy formula made it less enjoyable to use.

Definitely helps. I get bit up while walking the dogs at night and i spray myself down with this and it kept them away from me.

Worked well in the deep woods! No bug bites!!
