Slab Case Outlook

Poor build quality, poor quality assurance.

For the price the build quality is abysmal. The glass panel of the display is loose and shifts around in its place. The glass also had a small chip in it. The display foam was cut unevenly and the faux carbon fibre facade was also cut unevenly. The display foam also showed multiple deep fingernail indents from when it had been put in and out of the case during inspection or installation. One of its corners of the display panel foam was also separating from when (I assume) it had been hastily put back in during QA checks and had caught on the case on the way and gotten damaged. There was also a lot of dried glue around the raised “Vault250” sticker in the bottom right corner of the faux carbon fibre. I managed to clean it off but really I shouldn’t need to be doing that.. the thin foam around the edge of the top section of the case that holds the glass was also separating from the case when it arrived. It was messily and unevenly stuck to the case. The foam in the main section of the case was fine. The latches are responsive and secure. Those two things are why I didn’t immediately return the item and why it’s 2 stars instead of 1. I wouldn’t recommend buying this. It’s not worth its relatively big price tag. The finishing feels like something I would see on Taobao for $30.

The quality of the vault doesn’t really match with the price. But the storage is quite good.
