Weird but wonderful
Personally I don't really see the cherry thing. Perhaps cherry cough syrup, but I'm no expert on cherry. What I do get is something similar to - but softer than - methyl benzoate. Consequently it works brilliantly in floral accords, as it is far more substantive, adding fantastic character right into the dry down.

Artificial
I cant call it cherry material (maraschino or sour cherry), but if i had do - id call it coolaid cherry, very obviously artificial (a bit of bandaid tone) and to me - such notes are not a welcomed addition in a composition. It does have pit note, a bit woody but not a game changer. Unfortunately not a good material in my books but ill see if i can make it work.

Very useful molecule
I like Ethyl Benzoyl Acetate, it’s very useful molecule. It can used in many fruity accords especially in cherry blossom or cherry accord.
