Hideaway Platform- Original Version

Exactly what I needed for my RAV4

I purchased the Hideaway 30” Single for my 2011 RAV4. I participate in various gravel bike races and sometimes camp onsite. I want to be able to sleep comfortably in my SUV and originally intended to build a DIY wooden platform. Then after seeing the Hideaway and the ability to quickly assemble/disassemble the unit was the decision game changer for me. It’s light and can be adjusted very quickly to have it positioned correctly in vehicle. I used it for the first time this past weekend and it was a breeze to setup and with my Exped Megat on top I had surprisingly comfortable good night’s sleep on it. I highly recommend this setup and totally worth the cost in my opinion.

Built for functionality and longevity

We’ve been incredibly impressed with the Hideaway sleeping platform so far. One of the biggest standouts is how easy it is to set up and remove from the truck when needed. It feels thoughtfully designed for people who actually use their vehicles for adventure and daily life, not just for a showroom build. The adjustability has also been a huge plus. Being able to customize the platform height to fit different gear underneath makes the setup far more functional for real-world trips. Whether we’re packing recovery gear, storage boxes, or camping equipment, it’s easy to configure the space in a way that works for us. Overall, the Hideaway feels like gear that was built with longevity in mind. It’s functional, durable, and clearly designed for years of use. Supporting domestic manufacturing and local production is also something that matters to us, and it’s great to see a company prioritizing quality craftsmanship close to home.
