No pen came with it. Then the entire thing fell to bits less than 2 hours after being put on the fridge. The magnets do not stick to the card backing. Out of 9 magnets 4 are still stuck to the fridge and 5 are on the board. The weight of the pages and lack of glue holding it together meant the pages tore off. Rendering it useless as a fridge mounted pad.
