Smoke® Remote BBQ Alarm Thermometer

Easy setup. Great look. Minor glitch on first use.

The Smoke arrived well‑packaged and the blue color looks great. Setup was easy. Once I pulled the battery tabs, the base and receiver synced immediately. However, about 10–15 minutes after attaching the probes and getting everything placed on my WSM and in the meat, the receiver dropped Probe 1 back into “Con” and Probe 2 stopped displaying temperature. I tried resyncing and power cycling both units, but the issue persisted. I eventually had to remove the batteries from both devices, which left me unable to monitor pit or meat temps. After five minutes, I reinstalled the batteries and everything worked normally again. I’m hoping this isn’t something I’ll have to repeat every cook. This was my first time using the Smoke after a year of using a competitor’s similar system.

Great way to relax without checking my roast every few minutes. I really like the loud signal when it hits my selected temperature. I just ordered 4 more for my friends.

Time saver

My wife surprised me with is for Father’s Day. It a good tool to have for smoking brisket. The rage is very good and the alarm is needed. You can set it and forget it until it’s time.
