I bought this thermometer to measure the cooking plate for an outdoor griddle/ It is easy to use, instantly reads the temperature and tracks its changes 0. 1 degree at a time.

Consistency

I bought an inexpensive temp gun for a church bazaar to keep tabs on the grill. Was worked well but after time puked. My experience with ThermoWorks a no brainer buy what I know it will be accurate and easy to use. My experience as an infrared certified technician past employment now retired understands the technology. Trust ThermoWorks, maybe more money than a gun from an automotive outlet they also work. All depends on how much you’ll use it and how accurate you need it to be. Black is the best for accurate emissivity reading, for what the handheld gun close enough unless your looking for an overall visual thermography cameras industrial setting.
