The pad works great on heavy oxidation. Unfortunately the new buffer stopped working in the middle of the job but the company warrantied the machine and hopefully a new one is on its way.

No Longer Available in 5"

I bought many of these several years ago in many different colors for various different applications with my 5" backing plate. Now I needed an extra green one and ordered the 6" thinking it was the same as the many 5" ones I already have. My mistake. Sure, I could get a larger backing plate but that's not feasible just for this one pad. So I thought I could return it in the original unopened packaging. The AI tool that accepts the request replied that the item is eligible and a human will follow up. I had to take pictures of the item and exchange several emails until I'm then made aware that there's fine print for this item that states final sale. My mistake again for not reading every detail about the item. I have ordered hundreds of dollars worth of items over the years, you would think I could return an unused, unopened item with my own shipping. It's not a good way to show customer appreciation. As far as the item itself, it's much thinner than my original 5" ones. It ended up costing $20 with shipping and tax. I will now shop elsewhere for what I need.
