First impression was the bike was awesome! Then all the sudden the rear brake line started leaking fluid and lost all control of the rear brake. Thankfully i was going slow enough it wasnt a big deal. However, after reaching out for a warranty repair via email the only option they proposed was to send me a replacement part but I am not comfortable to make such repair myself. Email is the only way to communicate with heybike and limited to one email a day at best whichnonly grows the frustration getting nowhere. If they’d cover the cost for a repair shop to make the repair, id feel better about this whole thing

Heybike Alpha
I received my step over Alpha in a little over 24hrs after ordering online. Could not believe they turned the order around that quickly. The bike was extremely well packaged. Assembly was easy, the bike looks awesome. I have a foot of snow here, but I did manage a short ride before my hands froze just too make sure everything worked. The bike is very smooth when pedaling and applying more power is seamless. For anyone who uses the throttle to get going, don"t worry about not being able to use the throttle. The pedal assist kicks in very quickly, probably less than a 1/4 turn of the crank. I believe I will like the Alpha very much. I do have one small problem, I can't turn the bike on with through the app, bluetooth won't connect. Once the bike is turned on manually, the bluetooth and app work fine. At least for me, this is a minor 1st world problem. It might be the bike or it could be the phone. I wouldn't let this statement be a deal breaker if you are considering the Alpha. It appears that Heybike has produced a lot of bike at a very good price point.

Loved it so much I bought a 2nd one
After my Dad bought a Heybike over a year ago and has had no problems I entered the Ebike market and purchased an Alpha. Love the response of the mid drive and after a month and 200 miles purchased a 2nd for a family member. I contemplated the full suspension version but opted out of that for the death wobble that seems to be associated with the non rigid design. Its been a great bike, I love riding it and feel they deserve a great review !
