I recently purchased five cards featuring original artwork by S Ditto’s Art, foolishly believing I was buying stationery. I was wrong. What arrived were five small, rectangular portals to a higher plane of human feeling. The moment I held the first card, the clouds parted. Somewhere, a choir began singing. I briefly understood the meaning of life, although I lost it again when I checked my phone. Each card is beautifully made, and the artwork possesses that rare combination of warmth, personality, and genuine creative skill that makes you stop and think, “Wait… am I really expected to give this away?” These cards will eventually be presented to only the most special people on only the most special occasions, but make no mistake: I will not merely be giving them a card. I will be bestowing upon them an emotional treasure. A paper heirloom. A sacred checkpoint on the sprawling epic quest we call existence. The artwork feels thoughtful, expressive, and completely unique. You can tell that real talent and care went into every detail. S Ditto doesn’t simply make cards. She creates tiny monuments to human connection that also happen to fit inside an envelope. Five stars only because the established rating system lacks the courage to offer more.
